The end of summer has finally arrived, but with it comes a new school year. I’m happy because its like a new chance at my academic life. I’m a smart person and the summer has taught me great lessons. Through Stanford, my various trips and camps I have reinforced the following:
- ALWAYS put your best foot forward
- Be positive
- Love Yourself
- You can achieve what you put your mind to (they changed that at Challenger!)
- Don’t take yourself so seriously!
This new year is full of challenges. I wanted to actually feel like I was learning something at school and boy did I get what I wanted… Now I have AP Calculus, AP US History, Chemistry, and English 11 Honors to do. I am wondering how this and SAT Preparation fits into my schedule.
And of course, lets add Zuram and the Mission Buzz and all the technology projects going on at church and life easily becomes unmanageable. I am not worried about this though. As Sandra O Connor said, there is no such thing as a balanced life!
Tackle a few things each day instead of worrying each second about how my life is unbalanced, I think this should be a very successful year. I’m actually excited to start learning in my different classes at school. I think just being able to get into a schedule to complete my assignments is the biggest challenge, and to sort out my priorities.
Of course school is always the highest, but I think sometimes Zuram and other endeavors get in the way too easily. I am so excited for Zuram though! Over the summer, we have successfully turned the company around, created a business plan, marketing plan, created new product and services for our customers, new processes to get things done, new systems to manage it all, and brought staff on board! (I know, quite the list). But now, as I wrap up my little rampage.
Oh well, with the mindset to succeed no matter what and the support of mi familia and friends, I think things should really start to happen. Exciting times mi amigos.
